This release adds native support for FrankenPHP, currently the most reliable way to send HTTP 103 Early Hints from a WordPress site. If you’re running on a modern stack, this means faster perceived load times with minimal setup.
There’s also initial awareness of Nginx in the setup wizard. While full support isn’t there yet, groundwork is in place for future compatibility.
Why it matters
HTTP 103 Early Hints helps browsers start loading critical resources sooner, directly improving LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) and FCP (First Contentful Paint) — two key Core Web Vitals.
